READING, Pa. – Rentokil Terminix has expanded in the Midwest with the acquisitions of Action Pest Control, Evansville, Ind., and World Pest Control, Sylvan Grove, Kan.
Action Pest Control, founded in 1946 and headquartered in Evansville, Ind., has offices in Owensboro, Ky., Indianapolis, Ind., Terre Haute, Ind., Jasper, Ind., and Louisville, Ky., and employs 112. Action Pest was owned and operated by TruGreen. Previously it was owned by Kevin Pass, who sold the business in 2015 to Scott’s (which was subsequently acquired by TruGreen.
Jared Pigman, region director of Action Pest Control, said, "In seeking out a partner, we looked long and hard to find the right organization that shared our core values, a commitment to our customers and employees, technical expertise, and a well-earned reputation. We found just the right fit with Rentokil Terminix." The acquisition closed on June 1.
On May 1, Rentokil Terminix acquired World Pest Control, headquartered in Sylvan Grove, Kan., with offices in Salina and Otis, Kan. World Pest was founded in 1954 and has grown to employ 24.
