NORTHFIELD, Ill. – Rose Pest Solutions promoted Zach Bahrke to the newly created position of director of operations to provide additional support to the field.

The family owned pest control company has nearly doubled its number of employees in the last seven years from 100 people to186 today.

“Zach is an important part of the Rose family, having worked with us for more than 11 years, starting as a tech and rising up the ladder to this important position. He has helped Rose cultivate many current branch and service managers and has a great rapport with the leadership team,” Rose Pest Solutions Owner Bob Dold said. “All Rose and Franklin Pest Solutions branches and branch managers will report to Zach.”

Bahrke will be responsible for overseeing all branch operations including sales, service and administration.

Additionally, Louise Marshall-Kee is being promoted to lead the Rose Wheeling, Ill., team where she has spent nearly a year in the Rose branch manager training program. She has spent more than 11 years in progressively expanding leadership roles.

“A few years ago, being a woman in the pest industry was an anomaly,” said Janelle Iaccino, Rose’s marketing director, also known as The Bug Girl. “We are always encouraging young girls to follow their dreams of careers in the sciences and are so proud that Rose has created space for women leaders to flourish in specialized areas of operating a pest management business. Men have traditionally represented 95-percent of the workers in the  pest control industry and we are working hard to change that. We are proud to say that 28 percent of the Rose staff is now comprised of women.”
