TROY, Mich. — Mark Sheperdigian received Michigan State University (MSU) College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (CANR) Outstanding Alumni Award at the March 10 awards ceremony.
The CANR awards are given to those who have distinguished themselves by obtaining the highest level of professional accomplishments and possess the highest standards of integrity and character.
Sheperdigian has worked in urban pest management since April 1983 after graduating from MSU in 1982 with a bachelor degree in entomology. He has held several positions in the pest control industry, including service, sales, management and technical support.
In January 1987, Sheperdigian joined Rose Pest Solutions, Troy, Mich., where he currently serves as vice president of technical services and is a certified pesticide applicator in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky.
Sheperdigian is well acquainted in speaking at conferences and trainings, and co-authored the PCT Guide to Commercial Pest Management. He was also a 2008 PCT Crown Leadership Award honoree.
Sheperdigian is a national leader in pest management through his engagement with the National Pest Management Association (NPMA), he served as president of Pi Chi Omega, the national pest management professional fraternity and numerous trade working groups and boards.
