DALLAS — Dallas-based Sureguard Termite & Pest Services announced the merger and acquisition of Champion Pest Control of Dallas, a family-owned company serving the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
“We are excited to be able to service the Champion customers and provide them with the personalized services that they are accustomed to,” said Sureguard Termite & Pest Services President Mike Houston. “We can also provide additional services that were not previously available by Champion.”
Lawrence Cepeda, third generation pest control owner (PCO), said she was happy to find a family-owned-and-operated company to transition all of Champion's customers to.
“I was trying to run the business both in Dallas and San Antonio, which was a struggle. I went with Sureguard because it is a family owned and Christian-based company like mine,” Cepeda said. “Not only did my Grandfather, Ben Silva (owner of Bens Pest Control) know Mike Houston, Sureguard was also recommended by a mutual friend.”
Sureguard Termite & Pest Services is a third generation pest management company that has been owned by the Houston Family since 1967. This is the company’s 20th acquisition since 2015.
