Texas PestVets announced the success of this year’s Texas PestVets Winter Coat & Blanket Drive, which resulted in the collection and donation of more 850 coats and cold-weather items to Soldiers’ Angels, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing aid, comfort, and resources to active military personnel, veterans and their families.

The overwhelming generosity of communities across Texas made this drive a tremendous success, ensuring that Veterans in need will have warm clothing throughout the winter.

Jason Wheeler, CEO of Ace Pest Control in Amarillo and Immediate Past President of the Texas Pest Control Association (TPCA), shared his thoughts on what made the coat drive a success: “The Texas Panhandle came through in a major way for our Veterans! Soldiers’ Angels facilitated a connection with a local organization in Amarillo to ensure the donated items were distributed prior to the arctic blast. We are proud to be a part of such a meaningful program about would like to thank Texas PestVets and TPCA for organizing this event!”

Soldiers’ Angels is a national nonprofit committed to supporting service members, veterans, and their families through initiatives such as food assistance, hospital and home visits, and clothing donations. Their mission aligns with Texas PestVets, an organization within the Texas Pest Control Association (TPCA), which focuses on connecting, supporting, and giving back to military Veterans in their communities and within the pest management industry. While Texas PestVets operates its own initiatives and fundraising efforts, it remains part of the larger association’s mission to serve both the industry and those who have served our country.

“We are incredibly grateful for everyone who donated, spread the word, and helped make our first coat drive a success”, said Trent Kucherka, Chair of Texas PestVets. “Supporting our veterans is a priority, and it’s inspiring to see communities across Texas step up and make a huge impact.”
