The new, patent-pending Smith VC3 Localized Misting Nozzle from The Fountainhead Group is designed to eliminate unwanted pests, including mosquitoes, and combat common plant diseases such as fungus.
The VC3 nozzle attaches to the Smith 18V FloIQ backpack sprayer for vector control and fungicide application. Output at 40-90 PSI provides a range of 18-28 oz. of solution delivered per minute, the company reports. Engineered to deliver ultra-fine droplets, the VC3 nozzle creates a 6- to 8-foot droplet plume of both mosquito control solutions and fungicides. The targeted application minimizes chemical trespass, resulting in a reduced environmental impact, according to The Fountainhead Group.
PMPs can control the misting process by using the variable FloIQ technology with the Smith 18V FloIQ backpack to adjust settings according to the area and pest type. The nozzle is equipped with Viton seals and is constructed with a ceramic insert to ensure durability, The Fountainhead Group reports.
“The Smith VC3 localized misting nozzle will revolutionize ornamental turf and pest control management,” said Andy Outcalt, chief growth officer for The Fountainhead Group. “Incorporating the VC3 nozzle with our new Smith 18V lithium-ion backpack sprayer is truly a game changer. Professional users can count on Smith sprayers to provide consistent results, performance and productivity.”Latest from Pest Control Technology
