Trap-Alert Lets PMPs Monitor Traps Remotely

Trap-Alert allows PMPs to monitor traps remotely. A module using wireless technology can connect up to 4 traps and Trap-Alert allowing PMPs to know when a trap has been triggered. Trap-Alert is a combination of hardware, software, GPS and wireless technologies that enables users to actively monitor the status and location of traps through a web-based application. The Trap-Alert System includes the Trap-Alert web application, which significantly increases the efficiency of managing large numbers of traps. Inexpensive sensor kits allow PMPs to easily retrofit their existing cages in advance, making their cages Trap-Alert ready. When traps and devices need to be changed out on the job it’s simply a matter of unplugging one device and replacing it with another.

When a trap is triggered the wireless technology of Trap-Alert updates the status of the trap on the Trap-Alert website. On that website PMPs can see each trap that is attached to a module. The website will tell them the trap that has been tripped, and using wireless technology, will show them where that trap is located on a map. For those with e-mail addressable devices (e.g. Smartphones, PDAs, mobile PCs) they can have status emails forwarded to them right in the field.

Trap-Alert makes efficient use of its rechargeable batteries to ensure a 45-60 day run-time per charge. The strength of the battery and wireless signal for each unit is shown on the Trap-Alert web application so you always know the status of each unit. This too can be accessed on any phone with internet access.
