CLEVELAND - Weed Man USA earned the number one spot in the lawn care category for Entrepreneur magazine's annual Franchise 500, the company announced.
Weed Man is recognized for its exceptional performance in areas including financial strength and stability, growth rate and system size. Since 2009, the company has jumped up 300 spots on the annual list, the company reports.
"Weed Man USA is honored to receive the number one ranking in the lawn care sector," said Jennifer Lemcke, COO of Turf Holdings and Weed Man USA. "We take great pride in making sure the right systems are in place to help our franchise owners be successful. Without their passion and dedication on a daily basis, we would not be where we are today."
There are more than 422 Weed Man territories systemwide providing environmentally responsible fertilization, weed control and integrated pest management services, and the company is expanding rapidly. The company has a strong focus on franchise development with a centralized focus to reach growth goals, Weed Man said.
