One of PCT’s most important projects is our annual Technician of the Year Awards, sponsored by BASF.
The program was launched in the 1990s as part of PCT Media Group legacy publication Service Technician magazine. That magazine included training articles and other content of interest to service professionals. When we made the decision to discontinue Service Technician in 2000, we all agreed it was important continue the Technician of the Year Awards program in the pages of PCT magazine.
The program is an opportunity to pay homage to the men and women working in the field who are the lifeblood of any pest control company. Service technicians are the ones entrusted with helping your company carry out its mission statement by: understanding and effectively utilizing products and technology; explaining your company’s services to their customers; going the extra mile to ensure that they are recurring customers; and much more.
All of our past winners traveled different paths to the pest control industry, but they have all become respected company leaders, admired by customers and coworkers alike.
Next year marks 25 years that PCT will be recognizing Technicians of the Year at an in-person event. As we celebrate this milestone, here is a look back at all of our past honorees (visit pctonline.com to read their profiles).
