PPMA’s May AI Findings Show Increase in Engagement for Termites

The Professional Pest Management Alliance (PPMA) released its artificial intelligence (AI) research findings for May 2021, which showed an uptick in engagement around the topic of termites.


The Professional Pest Management Alliance (PPMA), the public outreach arm of the National Pest Management Association (NPMA), has released its artificial intelligence (AI) research findings for May 2021.

Some of results included:

• Engagement around the topic of termites increased 108% from April 2021 to May 2021, representing the highest increase out of any other core pest during that time.

• Engagement around the topic of mosquitoes increased 77% from April 2021 to May 2021, representing the second-highest increase out of any other core pest during that time.

• Engagement around the topic of hornets increased 70% from April 2021 to May 2021, representing the fourth-highest increase out of any other core pest during that time. Surprisingly, Pennsylvania and New York saw the highest engagement growth rates on the topic at a staggering 1,388% and 442%, respectively.
