GARDENA, Calif. – American City Pest & Termite, a residential and commercial pest control company established in 1979, announced new ownership as Jim and Celia Shockey handed over business to daughter, Cindy Ziemke.
Ziemke has been an employee of the company since 1986 and has been instrumental in the growth of the business, the company said.
This transition marks the second generation of family ownership.
“We are proud to announce the transfer of ownership to our daughter, Cindy,” Jim and Celia Shockey stated in a press release. “Her passion for the industry and dedication to our employees and customers has been evident for years. We have complete confidence in her abilities and know that she will continue to lead American City Pest & Termite to new heights.”
Ziemke brings her knowledge and experience in the pest control industry and said she is eager to work with the team of 40 employees to continue serving the community.
"I am honored to be taking over American City Pest & Termite and continuing the legacy that my parents have built over the years," said Ziemke. "I am looking forward to working with our employees to provide our customers with the best possible pest control services, and to continue growing our business in the years to come."
