COLUMBIA, S.C. - Terminix Service, Columbia, S.C., recently launched called a new ad campaign, "We Work With Pests,” which the company touts as a unique approach to pest control aimed at changing the industry's narrative.
Terminix believes that "the best bugs are the ones that stay outside your home." To support this stance, they provide their employees with over 160 hours of training from entomologists and industry experts. Instead of simply eradicating pests, they focus on preventing their return by understanding their behavior in the home.
To showcase their approach, Terminix has partnered with Buffalo Groupe to create short documentary-style skits. These spots feature everyday pests such as termites, mosquitoes, roaches, and rodents, as employees at Terminix's corporate headquarters in Columbia, S.C. Real pest behavior has influenced the ads, making them authentic and attention-grabbing.
The ads highlight termites eating cellulose wood, mosquitoes crowding around water, and rodents running along walls. Each scene is filled with minor details that capture the essence of pest behavior. The campaign aims to create engaging and relevant content in a crowded pest control market, going against the category's status quo of loud, expected, bug-filled ads.
These binge-able ads, which can be previewed here, will run across cable, CTV, digital video, and social media platforms. Terminix is confident that its upbeat, friendly, and approachable tone will resonate with audiences and differentiate it from its competitors.
This campaign challenges the traditional approach to pest control advertising. Please let me know if you want more information or an interview with a Terminix representative. I would be happy to arrange it. Thank you for considering this story.
