WILMINGTON, Del. – GetLocal Services is a new service that helps customers find, schedule and pay for home services. The service is led by Brian Schoonmaker, former president of a PCT Top 100 firm.
By entering their zip code, customers can choose a service, pay for one-time or recurring services and secure a booking with a GetLocal Pro Member – all done within minutes. GetLocal Services says it ensures that customers get qualified and vetted service providers, eliminating the need to sift through lists, directories and sales pitches.
GetLocal Pro Members are qualified home service providers who have undergone a thorough review of their certifications, licenses and insurance coverage. To become a GetLocal Pro Member, service providers start the process by submitting their information on the GetLocal Pro webpage. They confirm their service areas and fields of expertise — be it pest control, house cleaning, landscaping or more.
Once approved, pros can choose from three membership levels, each with an affordable flat monthly fee and a percentage-based fee for customers provided through the platform. Once onboarded, GetLocal Pro Members gain access to the mobile platform, in which they can update their calendar availability.
When they are matched with a customer’s need, they receive instant mobile and email notifications about new booked jobs, allowing Pros to focus on delivering top-notch service and seizing upselling opportunities. GetLocal Services is dedicated to championing small business growth, said Schoonmaker.
“Traditional methods of spending money on crowded lists, costly pay-per-click ads, and digital services just don’t cut it. We set out to reinvent the way we connect customers to home service pros,” he said. “GetLocal Pro Members get new customers, not just leads, in which they can keep the lifetime value of the customer. Plus, Pro Members gain access to business industry experts, resources, training, and a community of fellow service pros, all designed to support growth and success."
